Fire Prevention & Safety Training Course

Fire safety matters, especially in senior care. This course equips caregivers to identify fire hazards, plan safe evacuations, and respond effectively—protecting lives, property, and your reputation.

Prevent freaky fires from invading your home!

Fires can cause a lot of damage, not just to property but also to lives. In the US, an average of 365,000 fires happen each year that cause 3,500 deaths and $11.6 billion in property damage. Statistics also show that one in four homes will have a fire in their lifetime. That's a pretty high chance that you or someone you know will experience a devastating fire. People aged 65 and above have a greater risk of suffering fatal injuries and death from a house fire. This is because seniors are confronted with several risk factors including limitations in mobility, hearing or sight loss, mental impairments, and other age-related issues. These can make it difficult for them to be immediately evacuated in the event of fires. There are special precautions that can be taken to protect homes from fire. Additionally, a senior's fire prevention and evacuation plan at home should ideally be reviewed on a regular basis.

However, caregivers may not be aware of the updates that need to be implemented, or they may not be adequately trained to carry out fire prevention and safety measures. The Fire Prevention & Safety Training Course is the key to eliminating the health risks & hazards of a fire. Understanding these dangers and their health risks will help caregivers be equipped with the proper skills & knowledge they need to know to keep their clients, their family, and their properties safe.
