This is because seniors are confronted with several risk factors including limitations in mobility, hearing or sight loss, mental impairments, and other age-related issues. These can make it difficult for them to be immediately evacuated in the event of fires. There are special precautions that can be taken to protect homes from fire. Additionally, a senior's fire prevention and evacuation plan at home should ideally be reviewed on a regular basis.
